Hasta’s: Katakamukha and Alapadma

Solkattu: Ta  Ki  Ta  Di  Ki  Ta

Adavu 1

Ta : Start in Aramandi position with both hands in Katakamukha
in front of the chest. Stamp the right foot to the right into
prerita. When the legs are in prerita the arms are stretched out
into alapadma and body leans slightly to the right.

Ki : Stay in the same position but the left foot should stamp into
ayatam . (Arms stay the same)

Ta : Stamp right foot in ayata

Di : Stamp left foot into prerita with hands in the center of the
chest in Katakamukha

Ki : Right foot comes back into ayata with a stamp

Ta; Stamp left foot in ayata

Repeat the entire adavu starting left foot

Adavu 2

Ta : Start in Aramandi position with both hands in Katakamukha
in front of the chest. Stamp the right foot to the right into
prerita. Both hands should stretch out in alapadma rising in
circular motion until meeting at the top forming Katakamukha
facing upwards.

Khi : Left leg travels behind the right into swastika and hands
remain same

Ta : To complete stamp the right foot while the hands stay the
same and the body leans slightly to the right

Dhi : Left foot moves into prerita as the hands move back into
Katakamukha downwards and the body moves into the center

Ki : Right foot travels behind the left(Arms and body stay the same)

Ta : The left foot stamps to complete the adavu.

Repeat the entire adavu starting from left foot
